Buck Briggs ’76

Dear CFA friends and family,

buck-briggs-10After unforeseen circumstances prevented me from attending last year’s CFA Ben Mintz golf outing, it was energizing to be among friends, old and new, at this year’s outing. I was honored and humbled to receive the Lou Conti Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s outing.

As one of the “Original 13” founders of the CFA under the leadership of Mark Allen in the 1990’s, I can tell you that the “old buzz” is back for Big Red football, as Coach Archer has seized the leadership reins, and the excitement is palpable.

buck-briggs-11If you are a CFA old timer who has drifted away, or a younger alum who is contemplating getting involved, there is no time like the present to jump on board the train, as we are gaining great momentum, and big things lie ahead for the CFA, as well as for Coach Archer’s program. Marty Rauch and Doug Pratt have done a great job working towards revitalizing the CFA, but any organization of this nature is only as strong as its membership, so it is up to us, the rank and file, to keep the momentum going and to help the CFA expand.

I am looking forward to many years of helping to tap the untapped potential of the CFA, as we have only scratched the surface as to what WE can make this organization become. Go Big Red!!!

Sincerely,
Buck Briggs ’76
