To my Big Red Football Family,
It is such an honor and a pleasure to be writing to all of you and sharing my love of Big Red football. I have been in touch with Marty who has spoken to me about the new efforts that the CFA is providing and I am anxious and excited to see the positive influence this will have on our program. As you have all read, we have heard positive feedback from so many influential alumni and I hope to share my experiences with Big Red Football and the belief that I have in this program moving forward.
I chose to play at Big Red because I valued my education and I wanted to compete for an Ivy League Championship. This vision was instilled in me by Coach Archer the first day that I met him. The positive attitude and culture was even more evident in all of the players and the alumni that I have met over my four years. What I didn’t realize was the strength and commitment to the program from the extended Big Red Football Family. Whether it is speaking at Career Day weekend, mentoring current players, or providing summer internship opportunities, alumni are making a difference in the lives of current players. As a recent graduate I to hope to “pay it forward” and want to challenge younger members to stay involved.
It’s important we ALL join the CFA and show support by giving a gift, coming back for a game, attending alumni events, or the best way, in my opinion, is to attend the annual CFA Golf Outing. This is an easy way to support the Big Red, while also connecting with other alumni that are attending the event.
Finally, I want to say that I truly believe that Coach Archer is leading Big Red football in the right direction and as he has stated, the Class of 2016 has built a foundation to move the program forward. The culture and attitude has never been stronger as the result of Coach Archer’s never ending passion for Big Red. I ask that you continue to show support for the Big Red and to stay involved whenever possible.
GO BIG RED!!!!!
