
Warren Sundstrom ’61
It is with sadness that we share the loss of Warren Sundstrom '61. Our deepest heartfelt condolences go out to his family from the entire "Big Red" community.
Warren was an honorable mention Associated Press All-American in both 1959 and 1960 while playing guard. He also saw time at linebacker. He captained the team his senior year and was a three-year letter winner on the gridiron. A two-time All-Ivy League pick, he was a first-team selection as a junior and a second-teamer in his final season.

Warren E. Sundstrom, of Wakefield, MA (formerly of Winchester) passed away Thursday, April 26th, 2018. Beloved husband of 48 years to Joyce (Starnes) Sundstrom; dear father to Laura (Christopher) Diemer of Reading and Todd (Jennifer) Sundstrom of Reading; proud grandfather to Adam, Kendall, Grady, Molly, Benjamin and Logan. Brother of Stanley (Barbara) Sundstrom of Chelmsford and Roy (the late Dorothy) Sundstrom of Sacramento, CA; cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Florence and William Sundstrom. He grew up in Medford, MA. He held fond memories of his years at Medford High School, where he was President of his class. He attended the Manlius Prep School prior to college and earned his degree from Cornell University. Throughout his education he was passionate about football and was the captain of both his high school and college teams. Prior to his retirement he was a stockbroker in the Boston area.
Beloved brother, husband, father, dear friend to many, athlete, sports fan, avid gardener, swimmer, and proud grandfather who could be found on the sidelines on any given weekend cheering on his grandchildren. All who knew him fondly remember his wonderful sense of humor.
